1995 Volvo 440 GLT

Super one lady owner 2.0-litre example showing just 19,852 miles from new; desirable 'Performance' spec GLT; recent timing belt service by Jaguar main dealer

Supplied by Walkdens (Chorley) Ltd in July 1995 this later, face-lift Volvo 440 comes to us in “performance” orientated GLT spec and has had just one lady owner from new.

Finished in Silver, this time-warp GLT version rides on factory lowered suspension and sits upon its original 15” six-spoke alloy wheels and still wears its original large rear spoiler, the give-away at the time that the car was a sporty GLT variant.

Under the bonnet, we find the 110bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine driving the front wheels here, by four-speed automatic transmission.

Inside, we find half-leather seats with manual operation, electric aerial, heated front seats, electric front and rear windows, electric mirrors, glass sunroof, central locking, power steering, ABS, digital information centre, heated rear screen and front fog lamps. We also find in this example, fitted hard rubber mats front and rear and also in the boot where it could be particularly useful.

The car has covered just 19,852 miles from new which is most unusual and is backed up by an impressive service record comprising 15 service stamps including PDI, the last by Jaguar Exeter including cambelt kit in August 2021 at 19,032 miles. In addition, the service book also shows a further eight stamps for body and paint inspection, the last in July 2016 at 18,154 miles. 

The file also includes the V5C revealing just one lady owner from new, sole old MOT certificate. The current MOT is valid until September 2022 and records no advisories. The MOT history reveals the car to only have covered a few hundred miles per year, if that, between tests.
