Mini Miglia
Customised track car for the
Miglia series; raced during 2000-2003; in need of some
re-commissioning
Often described as one of the
more exciting race series, the Mini Se7ens and Miglias provide a lot of fun. The
one presented here, we believe has raced in both.
The car is not registered for the road but has been prepped for
racing in the early 2000s. It was purchased by our vendor who raced it a few
times along with his daughter.
Unfortunately,
due to ill health, the car is now being offered for sale but this also means
details of its history are sparse. We have spoken to the previous owner, and we
believe it to have been assembled from a 1994/1995 car with the body and roll
cage built by Altered Image Coachworks. The engine does turn and a single Weber
sidedraft 46 DCOE 13 carburettor is fitted. There is also a possibility that
that some of the car has some provenance leading back to Mini legend, Ian
Curley, although can not be verified.
The car
has obviously been used since purchasing but not for some time, so it is
presented very much AS IS in its ‘Ford Radiant Red’ and could be a great
project, offering a lot of fun for some amateur historic race or track
days.
