Supplied new by John Clark of
Tayside in August 2001, this neat little 3-Series comes to us in 316TI Compact
guise, and is an ‘Individual’ spec car meaning the spec is somewhat
bespoke. Finished in beautiful
Velvet Blue the car sits on its original 17” five spoke alloy wheels the car
looks well.
Under the bonnet, we find the 1.8
litre four-cylinder N42 petrol engine which develops 114bhp and 175NM of torque
driving the rear wheels via five-speed manual transmission offering enough
performance for most.
Inside, we find a half
alcantara and cloth interior with manual seat adjustment, colour coded Velvet
Blue dash trim, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, front fog lights,
traction control, digital climate control with AC and the original BMW Business
Radio/Cassette player with CD changer in the boot.
This tidy little Compact shows just 69,355 miles which have been
covered by two lady owners (and the supplying dealer) both friends and has been
in the current ownership since 2009. The car presents well with just minor marks
and a small temporary repair to one rear wheel arch (as pictured) and has been
in regular use, proving very reliable according to our
vendor.
The history file includes the V5C
confirming two former keepers, the owner’s pack and service book with two stamps
(the last in January 2006 at 25,168 miles) and a selection of bills for parts
and maintenance including a replacement ABS sensor in 2023, a new battery in
2021, replacement brake pipes in 2019 and 13 old MOTs.
The current MOT is valid until January 2024 recording no advisories
