Arriving from the sunny climes
of South-Africa in November 2021, this survivor Montecarlo is in remarkable
condition for a 40 year old....
We don't have a great deal of paperwork,
but the speedo shows only 54,928 kms (34k miles) and we are advised that
it is fitted with a set of Alquati camshafts which spice up the performance
and the car has had work to the seats which now have leather facings.
It was also resprayed before leaving South Africa and still presents
well.
A real rarity these days (only 7,798 Montecarlos were made of which
only 817 were S2 Spiders), this Montecarlo has an MOT until June next year
with just a couple of minor advisories (hazards not working; rear brakes
imbalanced) and represents a bit of mid-engined Italian exotica for hatchback
money.
