Reluctant sale of a much loved B from Somerset; blue leather interior,
tidy bodywork and chrome; recent service; ready to be enjoyed
Dating from January 1973 this smart MGB Roadster is finished in
Glacier White with contrasting black vinyl hood, shiny brightwork and sits on a
set of 14” Minilite-style alloy wheels finished in silver shod with decent Nexen
and Falken tyres on each axle.
Under the bonnet,
we find the typical 1,798cc B-series four-cylinder petrol engine, which the
vendor tells us is the original lump, showing c.133,000 miles driving the rear
wheels via four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
Inside, the cabin is comfortable and fitted with dark blue leather
piped white with the typical black crackle finish dash and
features.
The history file includes the V5C
showing six former keepers, an old V5C, a note from the vendor on the car
including reference to a full respray in 2001, including replacement hood and
tonneau, fitment of a Kenlowe fan and fitment of new 6v
batteries.
In addition we also find 22 old Mots,
a recent bill for a service in September 2023 including greasing the suspension,
a £405 spend in June 2019 on a new fuel pump, wheel cylinder, brake fluid etc
and a range of other maintenance bills dating back to 1986.
