First registered in December 1980,
this petrol 109in Series III looks to have spent its first 26 years in the
military, being first registered for civilian use in November
2006.
Now MOT-exempt, a quick look
online shows MOTs were a regular occurrence from 2006 up until 2020 during which
time it only covered some 2,700 miles. It sailed through its last MOT in
September 2020 with no advisories and it has only covered some 4,400 miles
since, the odometer currently showing 12,030 miles.
There are a good few
invoices for servicing and upkeep, including a new steering relay assembly
in March 2012, in December 2013 a new clutch kit was supplied along with a new
slave cylinder and some other bits and bobs. Other invoices on file show parts
for minor remedial work including a rocker cover gasket, tappet adjustment
etc.
Looking rugged and ready to
go, the bodywork has seen better days but overall appears to be solid, the
interior looks to be in good nick and looks as though it would clean up
well.
Coming with a good condition
canvas tilt plus a hardtop for the cab, this Series III is on offer at
a modest guide price and has been starting promptly and running well on
site.
