restored at great expense in 2020/21; 165,500 miles with 22 service stamps; very
clean and tidy
There
is a long story behind this Range Rover which we can’t go into here
for various reasons. To cut a long story short, our vendor (who is the
9th owner) acquired the vehicle from a well-known Range Rover
specialist in October 2021.
When he acquired the car, it came with
documents (copies of which are in the history file) stating that it had been
restored in 2020/2021 to a standard “that would cost in excess of £40,000 to
replicate”.
The vendor now suspects that this statement may not have
been entirely accurate and while there are no invoices to show exactly what was
or wasn’t done to the vehicle, we presume it has had a major spruce-up because
it is unusually clean and tidy for its year and mileage (the odometer currently
displays 165,551 miles).
Finished in British Racing Green with a Light
Stone leather interior, the service book shows that it was supplied new via
Broadfields of Cockfosters in December 1993, the first owner being Smith &
Brown Ltd of London. There are 22 service stamps in the book, the last at
157,420 miles in August 2021. The first 7 are by Broadfields and the next 11 by
Hunt Grange Land Rover of Tonbridge, the last 4 by different specialists. The
owner’s handbook is also present.
It had a new heated windscreen fitted
very recently and we are told that it has also been recently steam-cleaned
underneath. A spare set of alloy wheels are included but these would benefit
from a refurb. The rear right bumper corner is missing and will need to be
replaced.
The vendor states that it runs and drives beautifully and it
has an MOT until October 2024 with just one minor advisory (o/s/f brake pipe
corroded or covered in grease).
Starting promptly and running well as we
have moved it around on site, this impressively clean and tidy Vogue SE is on
offer here at no reserve so the best bid takes it home.
