Reassuring original specification; only
seven former keepers; with the current owner for ten
years
A well-presented Bentley T1, first supplied
by H.R. Owen in May 1975 and showing 27,438 miles although the service
history confirms this is actually 127,438 miles - what a fantastic car
to enjoy miles in. Finished in Silver Mink with an Oxblood Red leather interior,
the car retains a strong sense of originality throughout, including its rare
factory-fitted cruise control (not tested),
Blaupunkt radio, original rear footrests and a fresh set of woolen
over-mats.
The car comes
with its original Bentley handbooks, warranty documents and a service book
containing six main-agent stamps, supplemented by two
further entries from respected Bentley specialists including Phantom
Motors.
Invoices
on file exceed £8,000 over the past 12 years, much of it directed towards the
brakes and suspension. Also included is an inspection report from Royce Motor
Services (Gloucestershire) dated August 2017, noting its “good mechanical
condition, combined with its general originality… the value to be not less than
£13,000”.
Ownership history is reassuringly
stable, with only seven former keepers recorded. The previous keeper having
owned it for 20 years and the current vendor a father and daughter have retained
the car for 10 years, and it was enjoyed regularly, even serving as a
going-away car in 2017. It has since been
professionally dry-stored during the COVID
period.
In January 2026 the Bentley was lightly
recommissioned, including brake work with new hoses and caliper overhaul or
replacement as required, fresh oils and general servicing. The interior leather
has also been cleaned and fed.
A low-mileage long-owned and notably original Bentley
T1 with strong history and recent recommissioning. Running smoothly and ready to
be enjoyed as is, or used and improved. Sale prompted by the
daughter’s forthcoming house
purchase.
Starting and driving without issue while on
site for the images and video.
